Contemporary Art Society’s Latest Consultancy Projects
Sneinton Market, Nottingham Our work with Nottingham City Council and Patel Taylor architects led to the appointment of Neville Gabie as lead artist on the regeneration of Sneinton Market Square. Championing the market’s long history as a centre for food production Orchard celebrates the planting of apple trees in the square and more widely as part of the artist’s Apple Tree Adoption Scheme. The project is launched with an event programme on the 9th, 10th and 11th December featuring renowned artists, writers and experts on urban food growing exploring the theme of the Orchard through commissions, exhibitions, screenings, and artist market, feast and symposium.
