Physical Object Description:

Spot lit male performer (traditionally identified as Talbot O'Farrell), whole-length and in profile to left, wearing a dress suit and top hat, standing on stage and singing. c.1928
Etching and engraving. Lettered with signature, title and publication details: within image "Sickert" (along edge of backdrop) and beneath image "Published by Ernest Brown & Phillips at the Leicester Galleries 1928" (centre, immediately beneath image) and "THAT OLD FASHIONED MOTHER OF MINE" (centre). Inscribed in black ink, not in the artist's hand: "18/55" (at lower left, beneath platemark).
