A string of museums along the south coast have fascinating exhibitions opening in May including the Towner in Eastbourne, where Becky Beasley’s new show engages with the work of Eric Ravilious – both residents of East Sussex. In London the annual festival of performance art, Block Universe, returns for its third edition to explore identity politics and notions of nationhood in some of London’s most prestigious institutions.
