Biography
Clare Woods RA (b. Southampton UK 1972) completed her BA at Bath College of Art and her MA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths' College. She has had major solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally The Hepworth Wakefield, Stuart Shave/Modern Art, and André Buchmann Galerie, Berlin, and the Chisenhale. Woods is based in Kington, Herefordshire, where she finds much inspiration from the surrounding landscape. National Museum Wales, Cardiff and Tullie House, Carlisle hold her work, gifted by the Contemporary Art Society in 2010 and 2013 respectively.
