Nam June Paik (1932 — 2006) was one of the most innovative artists of the 20th century, and is widely considered to be the first video artist. The first major survey of Paik’s work in the UK since 1988, this exhibition traces the artist’s avant-garde spirit and the experimental nature of his production throughout his career.
The exhibition starts at Tate Liverpool with more than 90 works from all phases of his career, and continues at FACT (the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) with a focus on his innovative use of creative technology including Laser Cone.
Join our Director, Paul Hobson, for an exclusive tour of the exhibition at Tate Liverpool by curator Sook Kyung-Lee and at FACT by co-curators Mike Stubbs and Heather Corcoron.
This is a North West Members event. For further details of this event and Contemporary Art Society North West Membership please contact Mark Doyle, Head of Collector Development, North West - mark@contemporaryartsociety.org
