Director’s Talk — Facing East & ARTISTS ROOM Ron Mueck

Join our Director Paul Hobson, for a tour of two fascinating
exhibitions which highlight the importance of private collecting.

Facing East is an exhibition of major contemporary works from China, India and Japan drawn from the Frank Cohen Collection. Manchester-born Cohen is one of the UK’s leading collectors and is often referred to as the ‘Saatchi of the North’.

ARTISTS ROOM is a collection of over 725 works of contemporary art gifted to the nation by dealer and collector, Anthony d’Offay. Split into 25 ‘rooms’ devoted to a particular artist, Manchester Art Gallery is showing the work of artist Ron Mueck.
