Members are offered invites to the Private View of Contour States, the first major UK public solo show by artist Samantha Donnelly. With a strong interest in the images presented in today’s media which continue to idealise and objectify the human form, the exhibition features new work exploring representations of female identity in photography, TV, film and advertisements.
Samantha was born in 1978 and lives and works in Greater Manchester. She is represented by Ceri Hand Gallery and recent solo and group exhibitions include Shoulder to Shoulder (Ceri Hand Gallery, 2011), Compendium (Vitrine Gallery, London, 2010), The Shape We’re In (Zabludowicz Collection, London, 2011), and Fabricatecstasy (Jake Studio 52 Hoxton Square, London, 2011).
