Michelle Fletcher was featured in Contemporary Art Society's ARTfutures 2007 held at Bloomberg SPACE, London.

Fletcher graduated from MA Chelsea College of Art in 2006.

Michele Fletcher’s current work, although rooted in the genre of landscape, sits firmly outside of nature. Dreamlike spaces of subtle colour take their influence from a variety of sources with the natural world serving as a point of departure for the painting

She has an interest in a contemporary exploration of the romantic notion of the sublime-in terms of what vestiges are left of it. Influences range from the symbolist painters, such as Odilon Redon and Albert Pinkham Ryder, Chinese landscape painting and early renaissance painting.
