Aspen Contemporary Art Collection - Zurich

In 2008 Contemporary Art Society Consultancy were asked to extend the Aspen Collection to their Zurich office with a focus on Swiss artists. The fundamental coherence of an artwork is the crucial factor in selection for the collection – a combination of compelling ideas and execution, genuine creativity and a persuasive visual force. 

Many of the works convey a potent impression of the natural world that exists outside the prevailing urban setting. What is most interesting about the collection is that these ideas are not conveyed via a literal focus on nature/landscape but through a ‘sideways’ glance with works that provoke questioning and invite contemplation.
